When is it an advantage to go Green?

Every day we see in the news or read in the papers of the impact that global warming is having on our planet and ultimately us. We have for generations abused the world around us by unconsidered burning of fossil fuels and thoughtless polution of our environment. Governments are now, thankfully, reaslising that natures payback time is not sometime for future generations to worry about but is here NOW. We are being told we should be more aware of our carbon footprint and that as individuals we CAN and MUST make a difference.

This is usually easier said than done and it often feels that we must make hugh personal sacrifices to help the cause, and in a lot of instances this is the case, but thankfully sometimes the reverse can also be true.

Enjoy and extend your leisure time by changing to Propex Gas powered blown air heaters whilst safe in the knowledge you are enjoying the following benefits

  • Compared with Petrol and diesel, LPG is the best environmental alternative
  • Clean efficient combustion
  • Quiet
  • LPG is a low carbon content fuel that can reduce the emission of carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas responsible for global warming
  • LPG produces fewer harmful emissions that impact on local air quality
  • Less damage to soil and water in case of spills
  • LPG is a natural by-product of gas extraction.
  • Propex gas heaters are typically half the cost of an equivelent output diesel heater
  • Propex gas heaters do not require expensive annual preventative maintainance schedules so drawing on less environmental resources.

Propex LPG heaters produce over 120 times less particulates than diesel heaters (even more if the diesel heater hasn't a particulate filter added – has yours?) These particulates are recognised as one of the main contributory factors triggering attacks in asthma suffers.

If that's not justification enough and you own a boat – don't forget from November 2008 Marine Diesel will be burdened with the same level of Tax that road diesel is, in other words your fuel costs may well double.

But then my heart does not bleed for the heavy diesel consumers. On the contrary I am happy for the fish, the fresh winds, the marine environment and the Earth. There is no reason I can think of why it should be cheaper to ruin the marine environment than polluting the cities.

LPG remains unaffected!!!!!

Propex Heatsource announces new improved burner assembly that makes the HS2800 blown air heater even quieter when running. The team at Propex were ready to meet the challenge from one of the major motorhome manufacturers when, not satisfied with the claims made by another heater supplier, wanted to find a more efficient gas blown air heater that could better the heat output but have a quieter unit as well. Says David Elliot, Propex MD – “we are an Engineering based company and therefore relish the challenge of looking for solutions to vehicle builders problems, as a UK manufacturer we are able to react quickly and efficiently to customers requests.
